The Tammy Faye Biopic
In the struggle between faith and wealth, it's a knockout win for Mammon in Michael Showalter's wonderfully garish true story about the fallen televangelist plus her lawbreaking partner. The actor plays the greedy Jim, who proclaims early on, “God does not want us to be poor,”. He and Tammy Faye set about monetising the nation's spiritual convictions.
